Global energy company Shell has appointed Elohor Aiboni as Executive Vice President and Country Chair Nigeria, marking a historic milestone as the first Nigerian and the first woman to lead the company’s operations in the country.

Aiboni’s appointment represents a significant step forward for indigenous leadership and gender inclusion within one of the world’s largest energy companies. She succeeds into the role after a distinguished career spanning more than two decades in the energy sector, where she has built expertise in engineering, operations, project management, and executive leadership.

Before her new appointment, Aiboni served as Managing Director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), where she played a key role in overseeing deep-water operations and driving strategic initiatives within the company.
