Kambili’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident from a young age. At fourteen, she co-founded Generation For Change, a fundraising organization that raised up to 10 million naira over three years to support underprivileged children in Nigeria. She pursued higher education at Imperial College London and Cranfield University Milton Keynes, and went on to work with prominent organizations like Heinz and Total. In 2014, she founded KAMOKINI, an African swimwear and accessories brand that combines style with cultural heritage.
A Rising Star in Filmmaking
Transitioning into filmmaking, Kambili made an impressive debut with her self-directed film, Shaping Us. The drama delves into themes of family, identity, and resilience, and received critical acclaim, including the Best Film: African Diaspora award at the 2024 Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival. Her portrayal of Ara, a central character in the film, further showcased her versatility as an actress.
