A prize-winning Mathematics graduate of the University of Lagos, Kofo began her professional career in the banking sector, spending over 12 years at International Merchant Bank and Chartered Bank. Despite enjoying a successful corporate career, she chose to pursue entrepreneurship, establishing Interface Technologies in 1998, a company focused on security management and biometric solutions.
In 2005, she founded SecureID Nigeria Limited, a company that would become a trailblazer in smart card technology and digital security. Under her leadership, SecureID established Nigeria’s first internationally certified smart card manufacturing plant and the only such facility in West Africa. The company produces payment cards, SIM cards, and identity solutions that meet global standards and serves customers across numerous African countries.
Kofo’s achievements have helped reduce Africa’s dependence on imported smart cards while strengthening local manufacturing and creating employment opportunities. Her commitment to innovation has positioned SecureID as a trusted partner for financial institutions, telecommunications companies, and governments seeking secure digital identity solutions.
