Women of Will Cares (WOW Cares), the humanitarian arm of the Women of Will Organisation, has once again demonstrated its commitment to community upliftment through a monetary donation to the Maternity and Children Ward of General Hospital Mushin, Lagos.

The visit was driven by WOW Cares’ core mission: to support women, strengthen families, and improve the wellbeing of vulnerable children. Recognising the critical needs within public healthcare facilities, the organisation provided financial support aimed at easing immediate challenges faced by expectant mothers, nursing mothers, and children receiving care at the hospital.

During the donation exercise, representatives of Women of Will Cares engaged with hospital staff and beneficiaries, gaining firsthand insight into the realities of maternal and child healthcare within the community. The funds donated are expected to support essential needs within the ward, helping to improve care delivery and provide relief to families navigating medical expenses.

Speaking on the initiative, a representative of Women of Will Cares emphasised that investing in maternal and child health is investing in the future. “When women and children are supported, communities thrive. This visit is part of our ongoing commitment to show up where it matters most and to translate advocacy into action,” the representative noted.

The donation to the Maternity and Children Ward is part of WOW Cares’ broader social impact agenda, which includes health advocacy, women’s empowerment, and community support initiatives. Through acts of care and generosity, Women of Will Cares continues to reinforce the message that collective responsibility and compassion can drive meaningful change.

As the organisation looks ahead, it reaffirms its pledge to continue supporting women and children across communities, ensuring that care, dignity, and hope remain accessible to those who need them most.
